Undelivered parcels: what happens to them?
Every year, millions of parcels fail to arrive at their destination. Wrong address, absence of the addressee or refusal of delivery... These shipments then become what we call NPAI (N'habite Pas à l'Adresse Indiquée) parcels.
📦 Why does a parcel become NPAI?
There are several reasons why a parcel may be classified as NPAI:
- Incorrect or incomplete address
- Unknown or untraceable addressee
- Parcel refused or not collected on time
- Sorting or transport error
🔄 What happens to these parcels?
After several delivery attempts, parcels are returned to the carrier or put into storage. If the sender is unknown or does not respond, these parcels are then legally resold to specialized partners such as Colis NPAI.
🌱 An ecological and economical solution
Rather than being destroyed, these parcels are given a new lease of life. They are sold sealed, unopened and unsorted. This allows:
- ♻️ Avoid wasting new products
- 💰 Access to a variety of items at reduced prices
- 🔁 Participate in the circular economy
